Hi guys new to this forum but I seem to have a problem with my internet speed my package used to be essential but now its preferred after coming home I noticed the upload speed and download speed the same so I waited 14 hours now its 4 a.m. and saw that upload speed is faster around 5mb but the download speed is still the same I tried multiple times resetting the modem and router and it never goes past 15mb but around it so when its doing the speed test its 15mb then it just climbs down in the end even though no one is using the WiFi so I don't know what to do by the way the modem is a docsis 3.0 surfboard sb6121 and the router is dir 825 dual band revb

Thanks for reaching out to us through the Cox Forums! You're off to a good start by resetting your modem and your router. Are you running the speed test while your device is phsyically connected to the modem (or router), or while connecting wirelessly?
Try the Cox Speed Test at http://bit.ly/CoxSpdTst and let us know your results. Also, ensure the coax cable connects directly from the outlet to your modem, without any splitters. As a test, bypass your router and connect your device directly to the SB6121. Then reset the modem and run the above speed test again. Do you see any difference in speed?

Hi so Ethernet made no difference so I figured I'd go to the modems page and see what is going on and here are the logs

When trying the Ethernet connection do you recall if that was to the modem or to the router?

Randomly one day my internet hasn't been working and since then I went to cox a lot of time replacing modems and routers and coaxial cable so I'm not sure what the problem is anyways

I'd suggest starting off basic by removing the router and connecting a single PC directly to the modem while the power to the modem is disconnected. Once that is done reconnect the power then see if the Internet works better once all of the lights are solid.

Still not working maybe it could be the poles outside because we have sometimes really hard rain

For me it happens 24 hours a day again here are the latest logs from the modem so maybe my connection can get fixed hopefully so getting T4/T3 timeouts which is odd because I used to get only T3 timeouts which is now even more annoying on top of that cfg file has been stored so maybe it could be at Cox or something they need to fix this because no person should get this problem
Here are the latest modem logs for some reason it is at 1970

I agree, your upload is too high. Thats probably what is causing the T3/T4 errors, and should be corrected. That is most liking being caused by a bad or too many splitters in the house. If the cable line comes in from the street and direct into the modem, then you will probably require a technician.
With that said, I don't think it necessarily causing your download speed issue. For that I would test direct to your SB6121 modem.
