Internet has lots of dropped/slow packets

My COX internet has become extremely "glitchy" - lots of dropped packets and/or slow packets. What can I (or Cox) do to improve this? Please help - I bought a premium internet package, and it has become nearly unusable. I'm a software engineer that works from home, and I really depend on the internet working correctly for my livelyhood - thats why I signed up for one of your premium internet packages. It worked pretty well for the first month or so but keeps getting worse and worse. Please help!

Here is an example of what I'm talking about:

@BBowers

I looked at the modem however from this end I'm not seeing any obvious indicators of trouble.  Are you able to try testing without the router and see what happens?

Thanks for the reply, Chris. Without making any changes, so far this morning I'm getting much better results, with or without the router being used.

I will keep an eye on it and reply again if the problem persists (the problem has seemed to "come and go" in the past).

Right now I'm getting no packets dropped, and average ping times of 27ms, which I consider completely acceptable.

Thanks again.
