Internet disconnections Frequently

Hello my internet connection has been very unstable lately, it is getting disconnected and reconnected within 1min, it is getting disconnected even from very light use. I live in Tucson Arizona area, I have cox ultimate internet, a Cisco DPC3010 modem, and a linksys ac1200+ router.

Hi Stevennn,

Are you losing connection on both wired and wireless devices when this happens? Do the lights on the modem change when you lose connection?

I am having a similar problem... I work from home and every few minutes [on my laptop] I keep getting kicked off wifi. But my iPhone and iPod are not loosing connection to wifi. Is it my computer or the internet? I do notice lights flickering when I am getting dropped from the internet...

From this end I'm not seeing anything obvious that would explain why this is happening.  Would it be possible to try testing with a PC connected directly to the modem and see if you still have these problems?

If you've confirmed already that just the PC is dropping that would suggest the issue could be there.  Do you see any status change with the network connection status on the computer?

It is not just the PC that is dropping connection, I am losing connection on my other devices as well when the wireless connection is lost. The network connection status is lost when I get disconnected.

Actually my answer about the PC dropping was directed at somebody else.  In your case I think it would be beneficial to see if you see the same problem with a PC connected directly to the modem.

I am having the same problem connected directly to the modem. I even upgraded my old modem because of the disconnections to a new modem but it does not fix the problem.
