Every day, during the late night hours my connection drops over 20 times ranging from 1 minute to 10 minutes. It's absurd. and every time your net decides to derp. I lose money. Yes.. I need the internet to survive and earn my living. And so far, you guys are costing me a lot more than you can imagine. I live in the hampton roads area, so fix your **? Okay? Thanks. Don't tell me its on my end because its not. I've tested the line quality myself. Secondly I also checked the modem stats they are all within the preferred range to keep a solid connection. Its YOU, not me. So no.. I will not pay to have a tech come to my house. Stop overloading your nodes and upgrade your equipment to handle everything. kthx
When do you plan on giving your long term, paying customers stable service? It would be nice..
Secondly.. Cox.. Your friend in the Digital Age? More like your friend in the rip off age. 15/2 - 32/3 - 100/20 These are your packages seriously? I should be getting 5-10mb upload at the LEAST when im paying almost 60 dollars a month. Just because fios is not everywhere in our area does not give you the right to price gouge.. Let alone RAISE our prices every freaking year with no speed increases.
Wake up, the digital age is more than just downloading and watching netflix. It's also the age of gaming which also requires a decent upload speed. Not the out dated packages you currently offer. And your... lame attempt at "speed boost?" Give me a break.. Its your failed attempt at keeping us happy as you FALL behind in the digital age. I don't want speed boosts. I want a SOLID, FAST, STABLE CONNECTION.
PS TL;DR fix your service, get your act together, and start giving us speed upgrades for the absurd, price we are paying for the horrible quality we are getting..
They are all T3 timeouts.. modem strength, signal to noise.. all of that is within the required limits.. Its you, and i will not pay to have a tech come out to my house to tell me the same exact thing. Frankly.. techs coming out to a house to investigate YOUR issues should also be free anyways. What a scam lol.
kind regards,
your angry livestream customer stuck in a stone age with your service.

A T3 even is a very localized event usually the results of a signal or equipment issue specifically related to the upstream channel at the residence or very near to it since the rest of the network is fiber optic and not RF. Noise interference is one possibility but equipment such as the modem cannot be ruled out. Scheduling a technician to come out and troubleshoot further is the most effective way to get issues such as these resolved.

Careful about claiming loss of income, Kyros. Your AUP states:
4. Commercial Use. The Service is designed for personal, non-business related use of the Internet and may not be used for commercial purposes."

You know.. I would call a tech to come out, but cox charges for this.. Including when a tech comes out and finds NO issues on the customers end, we are still charged. I've had techs come out in the past, tell me everything is fine and hand me a bill.
I'll pass on that. I need a DOCSIS 3 modem anyways, and while im at it, i'll purchase new coax lines. My SNR is fine, by cox standards and above average. So is my upstream and downstream dBmV's. I might be a complete failure at punctuation and spelling but amazingly I did graduated with a degree in computer science, and specialized in Networking Security & System Administration. I'm not your average customer that pretends to know whats going on, or don't know whats going on.
Although the DOCSIS 3 with bonded channels may help the stability I won't get my hopes up on the issue. I'll be going out later today to purchase the equipment and will keep this updated. If the issues are still consistant. I will call cox, let them divulge their selves into my modem to check out the signals and so they can see this issue is not coming from my end. Unless your SNR and dBmV values changed in the past year they are currently as good as they can get. When they see this, maybe they will do the smart thing and send a tech out to the neighborhood and not specifically my house because I'm not paying for a problem that is not mine to begin with :/

I'm a live streamer. I somehow doubt live streaming breaches their ToS. I'm not running a business here. Thanks for the heads up though.

you did say you were losing money" and every time your net decides to derp. I lose money. Yes.. I need the internet to survive and earn my living." so u can see how that could be interpreted as running a business. I seem to suffer a similar issue, like at this moment, i can only muster a 3mb/s download, and a 1mb/s upload. Its 3:53pm est. A heavy traffic time i guess???? I bought their new modem, i upgraded to the Premier, yet i'm stil suffering as well with slower than advertised speed. Its very frustrating.

Their advertising cleverly states "up to" 25 Mbps, "up to" 10 Mbps, etc.,so they really are meeting their advertised speed.
