When did this start to happen? Perhaps after a move or some account change?
Does it only effect 1 username? If you only have one try creating another and seeing if thats effected.
Last, do you know if normal client access (outlook, thunderbird, etc) works. Or try using enhanced webmail, see if that gives better results.

Clear the cache and cookies in your web browser, use a search engine to find out how for whatever browser you are using. That said, a 500 error is unspecified and usually happens server side, but if a lot of people aren't reporting it then it's probly not a cox issue. You also should try starting your browser in safe mode or private browsing mode and see if it works then. If so, then it's something with an addon or extension in your browser.
