Help with whole home DVR service

Hello,

I am looking into upgrading to whole home DVR and wondered are there additional boxes that i need to purchase for each tv (i.e. like the regular HD boxes needed to access cable now). also I currently have a DVR box on the main tv in my home, can I still use that with the whole home (such as record certain shows on the old DVR, but have the whole home on every tv as well).
