HD DVR Replacement

If I have an OLD HD DVR Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8240HDC box that I believe needs replaced, but I can't find the remote with it. Are we going to be charged for the remote not being returned?

There is a one time small charge which I believe to be $15 for the replacement of a lost remote however bringing back the remote is not required to exchange a box.  Depending on which remote you had it should work with any new boxes we use.
