HD Channels in 2 places

Why are the HD channels in 2 sections on DVR now, there used to a SD channel and and HD for most channels. I see the SD channels are gone and replaced with HD.  Now when I deleted the old SD channel numbers it also deletes my HD channel numbers as well  So there is no way to delete duplicate channels.   It makes it a pain the but when your scrolling thru channels to have so many duplicates.   Silly silly..

Rockman2004,

It sounds like you're describing the HD Auto-Tune feature. The Auto-Tune is set to default to the "ON" position, meaning when a you select a Standard Definition (SD) channel, it automatically tunes to the HD version of the channel, if available. When the HD Auto-Tune feature is turned on, all recordings are recorded in HD unless SD is selected when scheduling the recording. To manage this setting or to turn HD Auto-Tune off, Settings > More Settings > My Preferences > Auto-Tune to HD. Try turning this off and see if this resolves your issue.

Ok it was never like that before. I had never had that problem before all of the sudden it was like that. Something at cox's end had changed all the low number channels were SD before and now they are HD..

That corrected it, thanks no idea how it changed as it didn't do that the last time I used the DVR

Rockman2004,

This was an update to your box on April 15th. I'm so glad to hear this fixed it for you.

My Cisco 9865GDC DVR shows a firmware version and date of OHT3.3.0.2002 on Dec 15 2014.

Dina, when will the firmware update occur in South San Diego? Also, do you have more information about any other improvements and fixes in the update?

Could a Cox Support Forums Moderator answer my questions? Maybe this is minibox firmware?

The firmware update discussed above was a Rovi/Passport update, not a Contour update, IIRC. No, I'm not a moderator.

No thanks. Then I'd always have to be nice.
