Hallmark Channel move to digital?

Is it possible that the Hallmark channel is moving from the HD lineup and into digital? My wife will be picketting your offices if we have to buy a digital receiver so that she can continue to watch Cedar Cove. Please explain the scroll that she has seen this weekend.

Huh? HD is digital. Perhaps you should more clearly state your question.

While watching the channel last night, a scroll appeared across the top of the screen warning that the Hallmark  Channel will move to channel 74 next week.. I only want some clarification concerning whether the channel is going to become inaccessible for my wife's viewing pleasure.

Where are you located? What channel is it on now? What level of service do you have? What exactly the scroll say? Our local newspaper had this legal announcement recently:

"Cox Communications announces the following change to the channel lineup in our San Diego North and South service areas: effective on or about August 21, 2013, Cox Communications California will make the following changes. GSN will move from ch. 342 to ch. 76, Hallmark Channel will move from ch. 343/1343 to ch. 74/1074 and Hallmark Movie Channel will move from ch. 312/1312 to ch. 75/1075. All channels will remain in a digital format and require a CableCARD or digital receiver to view and will now be part of the Cox TV Essential service. GSN will also be added to the Cox TV Economy package. Televisions and other consumer owned devices equipped with a CableCARD may require a two way capable device or digital receiver in order to receive all programming options offered by Cox. Pub: 7/18/13"

Hallmark is indeed moving to digital essential which will require a box.  There are discount incentives to upgrade to digital to compensate for the inconvenience resulting from this change.
