Hi. Over the past week, Google and YouTube have become so slow on any device using my wifi here at home with Cox internet. Other web sites run at normal speed and are fine. The trouble is specifically Google, FlightRadar24 and YouTube. Yahoo, CNN and other video and search sites run at normal speed and are fine.
Is there something wrong on my end, or is there an issue with the network pulling these sites? I do not know of any connection between the 3 sites listed above.
This happpens on Smartphone, laptop and other devices.
Thanks for any help :)

Try a tracert to one of those sites and post the results. Also, define "slow".

We can investigate this for you, when you are having this issues if you could run a trace route that would help us determine where the lag is. You should also rung a ping test to both of those sites so we can look at that information as well. Can you post those results to this thread, thanks!

Thanks. Trace route below. Also slow as in 20-30 seconds to load page. Sometimes does not fully load at all. Yahoo, Bing, CNN and other sites load almost instantly at the same time.

Tracert all look normal. When the page does not load, what happens? Is there a error?
First try deleting your temporary files and cookies. I use CCleaner to scrub my system every once in a while. Next, try a speed text. Here is one on Cox, and here is one off Cox. Last, when the page stalls, try to see what it's stuck on. Not sure what browser you use, but most will give data on the HTTP stream by pressing F12 then Network. With IE you have to click on the record button then sort the sites by latency. That will show site or script that is holding up the site.

Problem happening right now. Google will not load, gives an error message and when I rerun the trace it seems to take a long time to complete. I tried the F12 you mentioned but have no idea what I am looking at or what I should see or not see. Sorry. :(
Thanks

Also, I use CCleaner every day, and have no speed issues with other sites. Right now, Google is slow/error out while CNN is loading instantly. And yes, the cache and cookies are clear as I ran CCleaner right before starting the session as is normal.

Was that on a wired connection or wireless? If wired, what router do you have? Look like you have intermittent latency on your internal network.

Wireless from an in home router. Could it be the router, yet only affect Google and YouTube?

Ok, thats normal wireless latency then. When slow on wireless, if you make the PC wired to router, still slow? What if wired direct to modem? Also, what does GVQR say?
