Last Sunday the modem I rented from COX went out so the next day my wife took it back and got a new one. When I got home I noticed it was the wrong one, simple mistake as it looks very close to the old one, so I took the new one back down to the cox center here in fort smith, Arkansas to get the modem I do need/had.
Well the woman at the counter acted like I was flat out lying and the modem I had didn't exist, why would I make it up? Yet here is the modem that dosen't exist according to her, not counting the fact I got this modem from the same cox center just a few months ago and its on cox site to boot: http://ww2.cox.com/residential/rhodeisland/support/phone/article.cox?articleId=ef914c10-7763-11e1-4c35-000000000000#Installation.
The modem I have now is a Cisco too, though I don't see it on the cox list, but it isn't wireless, and isn't a router combo. She said that I needed to rent a wireless router with the modem now and be charged for that. So make it inconvenience and cost more?
So how can I get a hold of this modem when according to her it does not exist? Really do need that other back as I am unable to connect my other PCs and update my wireless products.

It sounds like you're referring to the Cisco DPQ3212:
http://ww2.cox.com/residential/rhodeisland/support/phone/article.cox?articleId=3a226f70-5ee2-11e0-4e73-000000000000
If you go back to the service center to swap that might be the one you're looking for if you don't want the integrated router functionality.

The Cisco DPQ3212 is the one that they gave me and that's the wrong one. The one that I was using and returned to them was the DPQ3925 (the one that does not ' "exist" yet I got from them and was paying rent for) and the one I wanted back but instead got the DPQ3212.
As it stands I can't update my wireless products, the non mobile ones, nor can I hook up my other computer (cable wise) to the internet now.

I see, I read that backwards. Let me check with somebody in your local market and see what we can do here.
