I have installed the new digital box on my son's tv and now the gaming system controller will not connect. Do I have this hooked up wrong?

Our crystal ball isn't working today, jprince ... if you want help, please give more details. What gaming system? What inputs does your TV have? A minibox or some other digital box? How is everything connected? hdmi, coax, composite (yellow, red, white RCA cables)?

I apologize for lack of details. The gaming system is a playstation 4. I recently installed the mini box with the HDMI cable that was provided from the mini box to the tv. The coax cable is plugged into the minibox and the gaming system is connected to the tv with an HDMI cable from the unit to the tv. The TV does have composite plugs available.

You probably need to change the input on the TV. Where the HDMI from the PS4 connects to the TV, there should be a label, like "HDMI 2" or something. You need to change your TV to that input. Usually on the TV remote, there should be a "source" or "input" button to change the inputs.

If making sure your TV is set to the correct input doesn't help, turn off everything and try reseating all hdmi connectors. Power on the TV first, followed by the PS4 and STB. Since each device is on a separate hdmi input, it should work by just switching inputs as Teck said.
