dvr trouble with new cox box system
my personally owned digital dvr (magnavox) was working fine w/o the new cox cable box(it got most of the channels). now it wont' work even with the new cox box hooked up-cable from the wall through the cox box-through dvr into tv (hdmi cable).. When I do the auto scan for channels it does not find 76.2 like it used to it only scans 76(I have it in dtv mode). when i key in 76.2 it finds it but just a blank screen. i called cox and they said everything looks fine on there end AND IT SHOULD WORK WITH THE BOX.Any ideas thanks

This setup can work however it won't work quite like it used to. What you would need to do is tune the mini-box to the channel you want to record then use the personal DVR to record the mini-box output whether that be by coax/RF or HDMI. The built-in tuner in the DVR will no longer work with the transition to digital only.
