DVR Box is counting down random letters and numbers for hours?

Last night around 11:00pm the box started resetting itself several times.  Eventually I left it and this morning it's counting down random numbers and letters.  I unplugged, replugged, it won't "boot" and it's back to counting down.  This has been for hours.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

It sounds like the box may be downloading a firmware update.  I'd let it run for a while longer and see what happens.  If it still doesn't clear after a few hours either call in to our technical support or email us at coxhelp@cox.com with your account information for further assistance.
