There is a firmware update for the DPC3825 there, we can send it for you though it will interrupt the connection for 5 to 10 minutes while it goes through, is there a time frame that is more convenient for us to do so?

@marcin13

The modem is up to date however the signals reported don't look very good.  Is there an issue you're trying to troubleshoot?

I was hoping that update might fix it but the signal keeps going in and out but on wireless connection

What do you mean by that? Do you devices stop seeing the network? Or can they just not connect? Connect but not get online? Does the wifi signal strength change a lot?  DPC3825 is a older gateway, so there haven't been firmware updates for 6+ months.

That sounds more like interference. To troubleshoot, try scanning the networks around you and see what channels they use. If there are multiple routers broadcasting on the same channel space, they fight for control. What operating system do you have on your PC? If Windows 10, try this. If you prefer a no install, try this. There are also options for android and iOS.

Hi Marcin13,

Are there any splitters on the coax connection to the Gateway? It's possible that an end-of-life splitter is impacting signal strength. Interference from other devices is also a possibility. Be sure that the Gateway is located in an open area away from things like microwave ovens, baby monitors, cordless phone bases, etc. Also, you could log into the router's management page and set the wireless channel to 1, 6, or 11, and see if your WiFi connectivity improves. If it does not, I suggest we schedule a service call so an on-site technician can take a closer look at what's happening.
