@biojudgement, I see your signal levels, how about a simple statement of the problem you are having.  The thread title suggests you had a dns error, is that correct?  Are there other problems?  "no internet router reboots" sounds like a good thing.  Also, what model gateway or modem & router do you have?

First, maybe a Mod can take a look and be sure your firmware is up-to-date and see any other issues the gageway is reporting.  Second, the T4 time-outs indicate a possible signal problem on the cable line.  The downstream SNR is close but within specs on all but channel 8, it should be >35dB.  If there are any splitters in the line, can you bypass them?  Also, make sure the gateway is plugged directly into a wall outlet, bypass any surge suppressors.

Hi Biojudgement,

I'd like to verify that the firmware for your Gateway is up to date. Since a firmware update will cause your Gateway to reset, I don't want to kick you offline without prior notification. Is now a good time to proceed?
