Earlier today times of posts were off by 1 hour and I couldn't access profiles. Now time look correct and profiles are back with the addition of a favorites tab. Everything is running much faster, did you upgrade or switch platforms? If so, so far it's great

Some maintenance was done yesterday to try and address a few of the issues we've been experiencing. Feel free to share anything else you notice.

Had a couple of hangs yesterday but much less frequent than before. Not perfect but much better.

I have also noticed a general improvement in performance, but I was holding my judgement to give accurate time to see how things settled. I see it's still hosted on rackspace, but the tracert is different. Almost looks like rackspace changed their carrier, so maybe rackspace was just the CoLo and Cox upgraded their bandwidth to the server? I think we may never know. Kind of ironic because news of this would have been a good thing, something alot of us were waiting for. Oh well, a mysterious solution is better then a known failure I guess. Props!

Can you comment on the assistance given so far? Why no heads up that this was coming? Also why not present the changes and improvements made? What was done? I don't understand the down play of the this. ::ponder:: Its a good thing right?

In the past, the act of posting to a thread created a subscription to that thread and I would receive e-mail when new posts came in. Now, this doesn't seam to happen. Since the update, I have not received an e-mail concerning any new thread I have posted to and they don't show as subscribed. With this update, do I have to hit the subscribe button to get e-mails???

Was it today in particular you noticed the issue? If you had notifications going to a cox.net email address it could have been related to an email outage we were troubleshooting earlier.

Chris, it's been over the last few days, not just today. Yes, I'm aware of the e-mail outage this AM but my forum mail is going to a gmail account, not my cox account. I am getting email from older threads but not threads I've replied to recently.

It might be worth trying to re-subscribe to alerts to this thread and see if that helps.

I do get e-mails from threads I'm subscribed to. I think the issue is, in the past, when you posted to a thread you were automatically subscribed to it. Now it appears that you have to manually subscribe, the automatic subscription is not working.

I don't see an auto-subscribe feature anywhere in the profile settings. It's possible this was a default that changed at some point.

Was down for a bit tonight about a hour ago. Caught a trace....eeew. Looks like ICMP de-prioritization from hop 5 to 6, but which is probably because of high traffic, which is causing packet loss inbound into hop 7. ::sigh:: Why everyone have to use cheapster Level3? They are the Walmart of carriers.
