delete programs the were in box when received from cox
Got a box from Cox that was used. Person had put in many programs to be recorded. I have to delete these many programs every time. Is there any way I can permanently erase these programs one time instead of having to erase them every week?

DVR model number? IPG being used? Are the programs Series Recordings, or are they individual recordings?

Most direct route would be to have Cox send a Factory reset signal to the box. That erases the hard drive and resets everything. Warning: The reboot process is quite lengthy, and if you don't have a good cable signal going into the DVR, sometimes the box won't load correctly. The safer bet would be to swap the DVR out at the store for a new/newer one.

I'm sorry that happened. To delete scheduled recordings, press the DVR button twice on the remote. Then, select scheduled recordings and you can delete series or individual shows that have been scheduled to record.
