Delete mail from cox server?. Using Outlook 2016
I recently had a system crash and had to reinstall everything. Outlook 2016 was working fine prior to the crash and when I retrieved my cox mail, the mail would be deleted from the cox server. Since reinstalling, I can’t find the settings in Outlook to delete my mail from the server.
Also, since I have various cox email addresses, I would have them go into the same inbox in outlook. For whatever reason, I can’t get it to do that anynore.
I notice that outlook defaults to imap and no option for pop.

I notice that outlook defaults to imap and no option for pop.
If you let Outlook set up the account for you, it will choose IMAP. To switch to POP, you'll need to delete the account and start over.The following works on my Outlook 2010 installation. Outlook 2016 should be similar.
The first account creation screen will prompt you for your name, email address and password. Do not fill those in! Instead, check the radio button at the bottom of the screen to "Manually configure service settings...". That will launch the manual setup wizard.
The first manual setup wizard screen will let you choose the service type. Pick "Internet E-mail" to use the POP protocols.
The next screen (Internet E-mail settings) will let you fill in your account details and the server names. I think they are pop.cox.net and smtp.cox.net.
The Internet E-mail settings screen has a "More Settings..." button in the lower right corner. Click on that and pick the Advanced tab to get to email retention settings (e.g., never leave a copy, leave a copy for xx days, ...).
