Hi,
I was just curious what the difference is in the SENT EMAIL folder and the SENT ITEMS folder? I guess what I mean is how can I send something that isn't an email? Can I send a text from my web mail? Just curious what that's all about.
Thanx.

Could you give some context? Are you seeing this in a classic webmail, enhanced webmail, or a client?
If I had to guess you set up IMAP on a client which created "Sent Items" folder which then synced with your webmail folers. So probably anything sent from that client will go to the "Sent Items" folder (if configured to do so) and if sent from webmail, it will go to "Sent email" if configured. By default webmail does not save a copy of sent mail, but it does create the folder, oddly enough.

Sorry for being vague. As for Enhanced or classic, I gotta let all my dumb out at once. How do you tell which is being used? I remember at some point seeing the option to select, but can't find it now. I think I'm using enhanced. My client (Outlook) is configured for IMAP. Remember that battle. I think the problem turned out to be my router, but still not sure why Outlook worked on the same ports/security settings with three other email accounts. Anyway, it's all good now.
I did some putzing and confirmed what you said about the sent items folder. If I send emails while logged in to web mail, the emails I send are placed in Sent Items.
Thanx.

No problem. Enhanced Webmail is just another UI or version of webmail which you can pick as you log into webmail.cox.net. Its under "Remember User ID" under the User ID and Password. Enhanced uses a Flash interface and allows for drag and drop of items as well as some other features.
