Is it saying you need to update Mcafee or Windows? What is the error message exactly?

After the install screen, Installation Incomplete could not install any security features, to fix ,try installing again, run mcafee virtual tech, contact mcafee support, mcafee virtual tech, security center 12.8, problem: product update required and update now in red that does not work if you click on it. If I have used up my number of downloads and I have McAfee Family already installed can I download another antivirus and have them both or uninstall McAfee and just get another download?

I "think" the installer runs on Java, so maybe you have a Java problem?  Not sure. Try giving the Mcafee Support number a call 1-888-556-0959

You shouldn't install two "active" antivirus. What I mean by active is a program that runs all the time, as soon as Windows starts, while passive is a program that only runs when you open it. You can have Mcafee (active) and Malwarebytes (passive) without any conflict, just not Mcafee(active) with Norton(active) or other.

Overall, you might be better off with a different AV. Take a look at Avast and AVG
