Cox internet webmail portal is unuseable

I regularly access my e-mail from the cox browser based webmail portal.  It is quite frequently unusable.  It will randomly resort and order new e-mails,  E-mails will randomly disappear, E-mails will not come through for hours after they are sent to me, and I cannot empty my trash folder!  This all happens on multiple computers with varying OS and differing browsers so I know it's not the computers faults.  Why Cox switched to this garbage program I don't know.  Any suggestions?
