I have a Cox store purchased ubee DDW366 and an Apple Airport. I am having HORRIBLE wifi connectivity issues, I am not sure if i everything set up correctly. I was told to shut down the 2.4 and 5 on the ubee and use the Airport as my wifi? Is this correct? How can I be sure its set up correctly?

If you have and want to use a Airport, you need a modem. The Ubee DDW366 is a gateway. This means it has routing functions built into it which are probably conflicting with the routing functions in your Airport. As far as I know, Cox has removed the ability to bridge a gateway for all the devices it sells. Disabling the Wifi doesn't disable turn off the routing function, it only disables the wireless aspect. I would suggest getting a stand alone modem, like the SB6141 or DPC3010.
