Cisco DPC3010 modem with Cisco Linksys E2000 Router
Cox connected me to this modem. I have a Dell P713w printer, which has been on my system for 2 years. It was printing slow, so I called Dell. Tech went into my pc and removed printer. BUT, he could not get it installed again. I can not even install it with the CD that came with it. All says NOT compatible with system. Now I do not know how many times I have re-installed this printer with NO problems.
My Iolo System Mechanic, is not working now, saying I am NOT on line...which I was. Tech had me try different things, and all came up with 'not on line'.
BOTH of these problems have happened since this modem was installed. They never happened BEFORE this modem was installed.
I am being told to buy another printer, Iolo is scratching their heads and can not figure out what is going on.
Can it be the modem? Only thing I can point the finger at since both problems have happened since DPC30130 was installed

No one need reply to this...it is now 5:40 am and I have been working on my printer problem since 3 am (pst). Where the Dell techs could not return my printer to my system, I did. Only thing I can think of is lack of interference in the air at this time of morning, since it did not work the three times I tried it during the day. Oh well..I have my printer back!

I apologize that we missed your first post. The Cisco DPC3010 modem will have no impact on your printer. It sounds like you might have had an issue connecting your printer to your home network. This would involve your router and your home network password, but not your modem. I'm not sure what caused the issue, but I'm glad to hear that everything is working as it should this morning!
