Even got a reset from Cox with no avail. Can anyone help? I was just on the 100 but I upgraded to the 300 and the tech brought the 6183 and now I cap out around 170-190mbps.

Could you please include some technical details of the problem? Wired vs wireless? Router? Speed test results? Any latency or packet loss?
See that you said you cap around 190. Did you recently upgrade to Ultimate or is the SB6183 new? I suggest someone look at your account and make sure you have the "Ultimate 300" service code on your account.
Last, what area are you in? Has it been upgraded to support 300Mbps?

My ping is around 15ms and wired connection for sure. I have an Archer c7 router but I've tried both and no difference. Yes my NIC is capable of 1gbps.

Sounds like a service code issue. If you have Ultimate and any modem with less then 16 downstream channels, they cap your Ultimate at 200Mbps. This is done to conserve bandwidth, because the 16 channel modems can handle the speed more efficiently. See this thread for more info. Only a moderator or Cox employee would be able to tell for sure, and fix it.

Yes the tech just came earlier this afternoon and upgraded me to the 300 and brought the modem with him. Also it says I have the 300 meg package on my account.

Yup, then that is the issue. The technician forgot to change the service code. It is a little late, but once a moderator sees this, they should be able to help. Unless your username is tied to your Cox email address, they will ask you to send your account info to cox.help@cox.com with a link to this thread.
If you are in a hurry, you can also call and ask them to fix it, but you will probably need to get to Tier 2 for someone who knows how to fix it. Tell them to change the "Ultimate 200" code on your account for the "Ultimate 300" code. Technically it is a service change in the system, so some representives aren't trained to fix the issue. Let us know how it goes.

I figured that was the case. I can wait until a moderator sees this. Its all my correct info.

After the tech visit, did your speeds increase? What speeds are you getting now for download and upload? If you're still not reaching the correct speeds, please email us at cox.help@cox.com. Please include your full name, address, last 4 of the social, and the link to this thread.
Thank you,

I will do that now. Still not getting speed increase I was waiting for a moderator to see this.

Everything looks good with the modem/account setup from this end. I'd suggest testing with a gigabit Ethernet enabled PC directly to the modem and see how your results compare.

If he is getting over 100Mb, wouldn't he have to be using a Gigabit port?

In many cases if I don't specify gigabit Ethernet someone will try bypassing the router and testing with a 100Mbps device. I try to leave little to chance.

Oh i thought you suggesting the desktop used for testing so far might not be Gigabit. +1 if you test direct to the modem to use that PC.
Did the modem load the Ultimate 300 config? BTW what is the name of the config for future reference? Some modems show the config file (IE SB6180) so knowing the technical name of it may help.

@Tecknowhelp There are no provisioning issues on our end, everything is correct.

I am sorry. I don't understand what you mean. Are you saying OP's issue is being caused by a provisioning issues? Or are you refusing to name the Ultimate 300 configuration file? All I need is the last 4 numbers. I guess I can just dig around online and find it if need be. I think there was a post about it on DSLReports. It wouldn't be a problem if more Tier 1 agents knew anything about it.
