If you're using a digital cable receiver, a blue screen on the TV often means that the TV is on the wrong input channel or the receiver is powered down or on standby, or sometimes something just came unplugged.
See this link for some steps on checking your connections and inputs.
Most of the time a standard-definition receiver will be on channel 3 or 4 or on an "A/V" or "composite" input, and a high-definition receiver will be on an "HDMI," "RGB," "YPbPr," "component," or "colorstream."
Let us know if that does it or not.
