Here's the story.
Switched from Verizon in Feb. Both myself and Husband work from home, so long distance was a must.
When we signed up cox said we had unlimited domestic long distance. On July 2nd, We upgraded that to include unlimited International LD to Canada and Mexico.
We were up to date with our bill when this started.
Over the course of July and August, weve now racked up 600$ + In long distance charges + tax on those long distance charges, and late fees. All calls were within the US that we are being charged for!!
Five Calls into Cox For a combined total of 6 hours on the phone! And still we're in threat of a disconnect over a bill we DO NOT OWE. Still, were being hit with late charges on bills we DO NOT OWE.
On top of that, the 300$ card we were supposed to get for signing up. In August they sent a rejection letter due to the fact that we were behind on our bill. ( Due to the long distance charges, which never should have existed)
We wouldn't have switched if it wasn't for that 300$ card being part of the offer, and unlimited long distance.
Its been two months of dealing with customer service. They say they will note the account and fix it and nothing ever being done.
I have the original email showing that we had unlimited long distance and after two months Cox still hasnt removed these charges.
This is by far, the most unreasonable situation. Cox decided to charge us an extra 600+ $ and cancel the 300$ card we were promised. Regretting the moment we decided to switch.

Hi Mrs Sandlin,
Our concern is to protect our customers privacy. We'd be happy to investigate this issue and address your concerns, however, we're unfortunately unable to discuss billing issues in a public technical forum. Please email our team at cox.help@cox.com. Be sure to include your name, complete address, the four digit Cox PIN, and your issue.
Thank you,
