Audio not working on HD channels where no set top box is present.
We are noticing that some of the HD channels do not have audio. Of the 4 network channel in New Orleans only two have audio, 704 CBS and 706 NBC. The other two ABC channel 711 and Fox 708 do not have audio. Is this connected to the other issues you are having now?

Hi Boa,
Also having problems with cable tv - we are in Rhode Island. Some channels have no so sound, (Sci-fi, HGTV, Animal Planet).. Another cannel - AMC (american movie channel) had White Christmas (Bing Crosby) in spanish!
Local/national news has not carried any stories on the email outage...
Sounds like a system hacking to me.

In AZ we do not have audio for the football games. Tech support told me that there were no issues reported. Seems there are some anyway. I can't get any live broadcast audio.

just turned on the old tv in the bedroom and found I have audio on all channels. Flat screen digital tv has audio on only half the channels...seems to be a digital problem. Checked settings on the digital flat screen tv and they are all correct. hmmmm
Dusan maybe you can get the audio to the game on an old tv.

This worked for us, hope it works for you. We have a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300HD Hi-Def DVR, so the steps may be different on the others.
Go to settings,
hit A for more settings,
Audio/Video,
Select,
Audio Digital Output,
Select,
scroll to HDMI and press, "Select".
Exit settings.
