Lift the receiver and dial *67 before you place the call.  In many cases, this is a paid service.  It shows up in different "bundles" offered by Cox.  It only lasts for one call so you have to do it before every call.  The recipient sees PRIVATE on their caller ID. 

You may want to call Cox Support and verify that you won't be charged every time you do this. 

OK, thanks.  I just switched from verizon and they had a feature I had set on my phone to do this. I was hoping Cox had it also.

Sounds like you're referring to the Caller ID Per Line Blocking feature. As yak suggested, you can block your information per use by dialing *67 prior to each call. If you prefer to have your information blocked on all calls, that is a setting that would need to be set up initially through a representative.
