All-Digital TV Limitations
Now that my local Cox provider is all-digital, I have installed miniboxes, and I am paying more per month to "rent" those boxes. Is there any chance I will ever get back the channels I used to watch as part of my service, or does the increased price now mean I only get lical HD and lits of CSPAN and home shopping? Please tell me I'm just using my box wrong, and I really still have Discovery, History, Food, Spike, Travel, USA, E!, Weather, CNN, MSNBC... You know... Cable channels.

What cable package do you have? Mini boxes only get you Starter and Essentials. See channel line up here.

I have Advanced TV EConomy plan and the minibox has always mirrored my plan until recently, (last few days)..now it looks to be just a basic starter plan on the minibox only. Main box still provides my plan. What a bunch of bs...an upgrade is actually a downgrade for the customer???????? Something smells funny

The encryption transition must not have been complete until recently. Mini boxes aren't meant to show you the "Advanced" channels, which required a "advanced" box like you have that is working fine.

It wasn't a "upgrade", it was a change. The Economy package was meant as a way for those that have boxes but don't need the full 50 channels. You were getting the channels on your CATV because Cox had no practical way to stop you, but now they do. Always have to read the fine print.
