Using an older dlink 655 router as a bridge I greatly increased the range.. we have three properties and need inside and out WiFi.
I'm using a netgear combo modem router as main one, then using a very long Ethernet cord over 100 feet I attached dlink and netgear via lan ports, took it across the driveways and plugged in power and hung under roof eave. Wow. I can get online now two houses down. Even chromecast is working. If you need to increase range and have extra router and the long cable, it's easy. Google how to bridge router as a second access point. Takes a couple minutes and worth it.
Know to figure out how to hook up swann security cam to network..
I love cox!

Thank you for sharing. Using a 2nd router as a AP is much better then spending money on a repeater. Better value and performance IMO. Here is a video I found on youtube that further breaks it down.
Let me know if you have any trouble with the security camera.
