Cox contour remote controlling a sony a9g tv

Just purchased a new Sony A9G television and trying to pair it with my Cox Contour remote control.  The remote recognizes that it is a Sony TV, but none of the five digit codes it gives me to try will pair with the TV.  Has anyone successfully programmed their Cox contour remote controller to the Sony A9G?  Does anyone have the code I need to accomplish this?  Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Allan, thank you for your response.  I have the Contour Voice Remote (XR11) and am following the specific instructions for programming.  It is not successful.  Are you saying that one of Cox's other Contour remotes may work while my XR11 does not?
