Can I use my cell phone as the remote
I have the new contour remote but there doesn't seem to be an app to allow me to use my android phone as the remote.

Does your Android have a built-in IR blaster? They last I read, Android from Samsung, LG and HTC have built-in IR blasters to communicate directly with home theater components.
If not, you'll need to connect an IR transmitter to your Android. A transmitter could be an infrared blaster, dongle, WiFi/Bluetooth-to-IR converter, etc.
If you can transmit IR signals...also the last I read...third-party universal remote apps, such as IR Universal Remote or Galaxy Universal Remote, might be worth researching.
