What happen to bill reminder notifications via text??

So, is this a new way to obtain late charges? Discontinue text bill reminders?  I have had this set up on my phone for 15 years.  This is the first time my bill was late and they now charge a percentage of your bill instead of a flat rate.  No bill reminder except to say the at my payment was late and my service was going to be cut off.  Next bill due Nov 13 but they are saying I owe that too!  I think it’s time for a change of Internet provider.  Service also sucks.  No service at my home for 3-4 hours a couple of days last week.

You can confirm that alerts are still turned on by following the instructions here https://www.cox.com/residential/support/cox-text-messages-and-alerts-help.html  Also, be sure that you did not accidentally mark anything as spam and block it or send it to an archive message on your phone as that would block it from coming to your personal device.
