Try to find your assigned WAN IP from your online COX account
If you are a Cox customer you know you can find your modem model and mac address from your online cox account. I don't understand why there is no more information about your modem, as your actual wan IP. The problem is, when you are traveling, you cannot access your home connected accesories as surveillance cameras or a connected computer, as the IP it change everytime the modem restarts. It is there a solution with the dynamic DNS, but it is not as easy as it should be just keeping the IP at the day in your Cox online account.

I would contact COX and ask about getting a static IP.

If you rent a Panoramic, you could use their My WiFi tool; however, it sounds like you don't rent one.
You can search remote login software reviews, select a few reputable sites and compare.
