If I have my modem and router upstairs, and I wanted to chain my wifi down stairs to a wifi extender, then set up another one outside in the shop, what would I need to do so?

If you have Wifi Pods you can take a look at this page to help you with the placement of wifi pods: www.cox.com/.../setting-up-panoramic-wifi-pods.html . If you don't have wifi pods try taking a look at the Wifi MasterList: www.cox.com/.../masterlist-wifi-tips.html .

If you don't want to lay cable, you'll need more antennae to beamform and mesh your signal.
