COX SPAM!!!!!!!

Why in the world does COX "not" control the amount of Spam they allow to hit us....it's ridiculous!  I have reported the problem to Cox Spam, Abuse, and Phishing emails for years with no response or even attempt at any remedy anything.  My several Google accounts receive only 1/100 the amount of spam.  WAKE UP COX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've reported spam to Cox Abuse, Spam, and Phishing e-mails now for years!  Hello!!!!!!

I imagine that most Cox employees have a Cox email address for their daily use.  I wonder what they think about the endless spam that greets us every morning.  Most of the spam messages are posted between midnight and 5am.

Yak is correct on the time of most incoming spam.  And little spam is duplicative, so the Cox webmail spam blocker is worthless.  I've had nearly 2,000 spam in the past 11 months, an avg of 5-6/day, every day, and have reported this to Cox, 57 times.

Customer Appreciation,

We want to look into this issue for you to see why you are still receiving spam that has been reporting as spam. Would you send us an email to cox.help@cox.com in reference to this post so we can check into this for you?

Messages from the Forum or from this specific post?  I've never seen an email from the Forum but if the email contains the title of a post, perhaps the filter flagged on 'SPAM' in this one.

This was a widespread issue reported by numerous Cox users four months ago.  See this post for how to stop email forum notifications.

If Cox or their vendor is flagging email from cox-notification@coxforums.com as spam, you'll probably have to turn off spam filtering to prevent them from going to your Spam folder.  I wouldn't necessarily recommend that though.  It could create a bigger problem than you have now.

Did you want to receive the email notifications, just not in Spam?  If you did, where is the setting to request them?  I thought the only Forums setting that actually worked was the "Subscriptions" tab.

I’m skeptical that Forum notification emails are being flagged as spam by Webmail.  It just seems unlikely that Cox would allow that for their own emails.

It's my understanding that email spam rules are applied before an individual's Filter Rules.  I wrote a rule to file Forum notification emails into a "Forums" folder so that I could keep track of when they were being received.  The last email in that folder was dated 2/10/2021.  That means Forum notification emails weren't being flagged as spam when receiving them as unwanted emails was a widely known issue.  I haven't received any since then.

Someone with access to your Webmail may have written a rule to file email received from that email address into Spam.  You should check your Filter Rules.  If that's not it, I don't know what to tell you.  Let us know what you find.
