cox provided modem - blast or beep in the night.

What is going on? I do think the box was hit by an electrical surge a few months ago. Random noises in the night since then.

ARRIS Model TG1682G -- Panoramic Wifi . Used for streaming ot Roku TV, and rest of computer equipment.

Battery in or out does not seem to make a difference.

Due to random nature, I have stopped "notifications" to my Apple devices. Some of the notifications did seem to coincide with my log of beeps.

I have reset the modem multiple times. COX has checked outside.

Do have a splitter on the coax -- unused one for TV service I do not get. 

I have slowwww upload speed.
