Can't Add Cox Panoramic Pod

Everytime I try to use the app to add a pod to my router it says "Something's Not Quite Right. We can't find the serial number for this pod. Please try scanning a different pod". I've tried both of the pods and both of them give me this same error, so it won't let me add them.
