wired internet

I have a room with cox cable running to a tv.. what do I need to buy to have a "wired" internet for my desk top? I already have a desk top available to me

The best way would be to run a ethernet wire from where the modem and/or router is to where the desktop. If that's not possible, you could go MoCA, and network through the cable wire, but that means buying special MoCA requirement. What do you "need" the wired connection for?

Hi jarhead, do you already have a cable outlet in the room where your computer is located? If yes, then you will need a coaxial cable to connect to the wall outlet and connect to a modem, and an ethernet cable to connect the modem to your computer. If you plan to use the existing outlet where your TV is located then you will need a splitter and two coaxial cables additionally.
