WIN XP and Network connection

Yes, I am a die hard XP user , my machine runs great without the added "apps" and other changes I don't like in the newer OS. I like my computer to connect tot he internet for information, writing letters, and connecting with family and friends. So with that out of the way...I would like to know is there anything I can do to get my network to read the Cox's connection on my XP? There is nothing wrong with my cards, they all run fine and had up until the XP " deadline". Thanks- D. Fowler
