What's it going to take???

Our internet speeds for Premier package, runs from as low as 2-3 mbps to 50 mbps.
Spent over 20 minutes on hold the other day to be told that a tech would be coming out the next day. Waited and no one showed.

Email I sent over a week ago finally got a response:
"Sorry for the delay, please reset your modem and router and also try running modem direct to PC."

Are you f***ing kidding me?? This is the kind of support Cox has now? I used to brag about the customer service here but this is ridiculous.

So with that said, wtf is it going to take to get a tech to come out and fix this? Seems this all started once Cox doubled the d/l speeds. But instead of it getting better it has become quite the opposite.

I took a look from here however no obvious problems are standing out other than the device currently being connected to the  modem having a slower Ethernet port.  Are you testing your speeds wired or wireless and can you try testing without the router to see if there is any difference?

I've tried it wired and wireless. Through the router and direct with modem. Same issue.
It doesn't happen all the time but more frequently late at night. Was already told by phone support that they were sending a tech out to look at it because he couldn't do anything.

Well the appointment was canceled (not by me) for some odd reason. Would like someone to come look into this as this has been going on for about a week and a half now.

Do you happen to know what make/model router you're using?

If you just wanted a appointment, why didn't you call?Would have been alot faster IMO. And ease up on the language...yeesh.

Are you customer support? Didn't think so so stfu. yeesh.

As for calling and setting up an appointment, if you could read you might see that I already said I did that and they canceled it. So mind your own business and once again stfu.

BTW Tiffany, your the one that replied to me with the same old "Reboot modem, bypass router" routine. lmao

Tech suppose to be here tomorrow again but I'll believe it when I see it.

Customer support used to be great here at Cox but lately it's the worse I've seen.
Sad considering the prices we pay for internet now.

agreed this double the speed nonsense has been an absolute disaster.. the amount of problems i'v had in the past 2 months have been beyond horrible... terrible latency at peak hours, had 2 days where my download speed was at 1, beyond terrible packet issues, more terrible latency at peak hours, outages daily. getting to the point where i'm considering downgrading to DSL. I feel your pain man but trust me getting a cox technician at your house probably won't do you much good i'v had 20+ come to my house without ever fixing anything. It's the same troubleshooting bs changing out the lines, changing out the modem, connecting directly through the tap oh nothing works we'll send out a maintenance guy. My only advise to you in this long fight is when you call for a technician to come out to your house MAKE SURE you request a cox employee or else they'll send out some sub-contractor that doesn't know *** and will end the conversation with a "sorry there's nothing we can do we're just sub-contractors"

Yeah I'm to the same point at getting a downgrade to dsl.
Thing that pisses me off the most is the fact that it's obvious there are problems on THEIR end but yet they give out the same bullsh*t answers of "Reboot modem, bypass router, blah blah blah.

And the funny thing is since the double boost in speeds, I've never got close to what my original speeds were. lmao

I used to love Cox for their support but these idiots don't have a clue wtf they're doing now!

As for the tech, we live in a small community so more than likely it will be a tech that I now (or at least I hope so, because they have some dumba** techs that work for them here) so I'm not to worried about that. Hopefully they can clue me into wtf is really going on with Cox since it's obvious the support on this forum and phone can't help!

i know LOL my speeds are literally identical to what they used to be.. it's also hilarious when they tell you to take a speedtest on their website which is obviously rigged of some sort.. The day where the 1 download speed *** was happening to everybody i took a test on their speed test and it said i was at like 180 download speed where i'd test on every single different host on speedtest.net and they all said it was absolute garbage 0.5 download and than i'd try to do something simple like view a stream and it won't even load.. you can guess which speedtest i'm going to go off of from now on.
