why do i lose the volumen on the dvr and how can i correct this problem

What do you mean "lose the volume" ? Do you see the volume bar go down, or does it just get quieter?

If by "...lose the volume..." you mean that the volume goes away completely, try connecting your DVR to your TV with component cables (if you are presently using HDMI.) I have intermittent volume loss when I use HDMI as well, and it stopped when I tried component cables instead.
