using cox.com website tv listings to have dvr record a show

I'm trying to set my DVR to record a show through the cox.com website while I'm at work. If I login to cox.com using my USERNAME (the login is successful), then I navigate through the tv listings, and then click the "record" link, the cox.com website takes me back to a login page. And I repeat the steps and again it takes me back to the login page. I tried using USERNAME@cox.net (again, the login is successful). But then when I go to the tv listing on cox.com, it tells me I don't have tv service.

Does this feature work for anybody else?

Update: Now either login (USERNAME or USERNAME@cox.net) results in the site telling me I don't have tv service when I click the record link.

Hi Copperhead,

When you look at your account services does it show your TV service listed? Are you able to schedule a recording by going to My Connection > TV Listing & Set DVR?

I was successful in using my computer to program a recording on my DVR....

I had no idea it was possible, so gave it a try.

I brought up Cox.com and logged in, went to TV listings, then selected channel 104 and Natural Born Outlaws at 7PM today.

I clicked the manage DVR button, answered a question involving priorities (forgot the questions; it's tough being in your 80's), went out and checked my DVR and it was programmed.  I'm using an old Cox DVR, the Motorola DCH3416, which after a few tries works fine with digital TV.  Does your "package" include the channel you are trying to record?

The TV listings page mentioned using your cell phone   cox.com/mydvr.  I have a dumb phone, so tried my computer.  It brought me back to the TV listings page.
