Over the last 2 weeks I've upgraded my modem to a Motorola SB6183 & router to a Netgear R7500 (AC2350). I have cox premier internet package but I'm still only seeing download speeds of 30-32 mbps and upload speeds of 4 mbps both on the cox speed test and at speedtest.net. These tests were done using a wired connection.
I had to contact cox to get the new modem "activated" as I was unable to access the internet and my speeds did jump from 16 mbps with the old modem to 32 mbps with the new. It seems that I may still have the old service code attached with my account though. Could someone please check on this and let me know if this is the issue?
Thank you for your time and any help you can provide.

I hadn't responded to this yet because I was waiting for a moderator. As you already know, sounds like you have the wrong service code on your account. Needs to be the Premier D3(Premier 100?) or what ever it's called. Is your username the same as your cox email? If so, a moderator should be able to look it up and correct. If not, I would suggest sending a email to cox.help@cox.com and request the change. Just reference this thread in the email.

Thanks for the response! I was actually able to finally get someone on the phone and they reset my account. I jumped from 32 mbps down to 83.
