Unable to upgrade services online
So I came online, to my account, intending to upgrade my internet service to the next level.
You'd think that would be easy, right? Wrong. I follow the link "add to or update services", which I find merely takes me to the general landing page for Cox services. If I proceed through the selections, I will add ANOTHER service to my existing account, complete with a request for "when do I want an installer to arrive?"
I have decided that the only way to upgrade to a higher internet speed package is to cancel my Cox account, and open up a new one. But when I do, it won't be a Cox account.

Hi ApTuttle,
Based on your description, I'm guessing that you are already signed in to www.cox.net with your Cox Primary User ID and password before you click on "add or update services." Can you post the link to the "general landing page for Cox services" so I can better understand which page that is? Also, when you get to this page, does the website still show that you are logged in? (The blue bar across the top of the page will say "sign out" if currently signed in.)
There are two times that you would indeed get linked back to a "general" page to order Cox services. One instance is if the user ID you signed in with was a secondary user ID and not the Cox "primary" user ID. The second instance is if the internet browser you are using does not store cookies and needs you to specify your location before proceeding.
Either way, I'd like to make sure we can get this addressed for you! I'll be happy to have an Account Services representative give you a call at a time convenient for you so we can help you take advantage of the current internet upgrade promotions. Please email your full account name and address, plus a phone number and a good time to contact you, to coxhelp@cox.com. You can copy and paste your forum post into the email message so you don't have to type everything out again. I'll make sure we clear up what is happening with the webpage as well as to make whatever account changes you wish.
