Ok so this problem started 4 days ago. I started getting msg telling me my emails are being bounce back to sender. So I can up cox wondering what is wrong with my email. The tech told me that something happen so they went ahead with server maintenance or what ever she assured me it would be fix so 4 days later I still not getting my emails only the bounce back message in replace of it. So my question is have the issue been fixed? Is anyone else not getting their emails and is there something I need to do on my part. Tomorrow will be 5 days without getting my emails and since its being sent back to sender I may never see it.

Can you include the whole email bounce back? Should tell why the email was bounced.
Also, what do you use as your phone's outgoing email settings?
Last, do you have any other devices configured for Cox email? Do those work?
::edit:: Was the error that below? If so, I would suggest logging into webmail to see if you have used all your space.
"A message was sent to you that was returned to the sender(bounced)because it would have caused your mailbox quota to be exceeded."

Where you using Pop3? If so, deleting a email from the client (phone, outlook, etc) doesn't doesn't delete it from the server.

i have nothing in my email server so i don't know what that error message is about. i don't keep nothing on the server becasue i dont' like my iphone to keep downloading them. once i delete from my view in my mail app on my phone i don't want messages to keep coming back so i don't keep anything on the server.

Well atleast you know the answer. I don't know how emails would get back on the server after deleted. Can't say for sure without knowing your settings, but it's kind of moot now. If your looking for a way to quickly delete/remove the emails, just set up another account on the phone or laptop to download everything and NOT leave a copy. Here is how to do it in Outlook, but there should be a similar setting on any device.

i use outlook on my macbook. so one i delete the ones i don't want from my iphone it totally deletes it so when i get home and turn on my macbook it only download the one i haven't deleted off my iphone. and after that i click on the little link that says delete from server on top of each message. then after i do that i delete them from my iphone because i can't stand it being cluttered. But i always check on the web interface to make sure the message get deleted and they always were.

so i don't see why i am not getting emails. i was getting the same emails way before this maintenance and never had this problem. now after maintenance all i am getting is bounce back messages.
looking all the the bounce back message i noticed this part.
The following is the reason that the message was over quota:
Quota Type: total bytes stored
Quota Available: 0.0KB
Total Quota: 2097151.0KB
The following is the information on the message that was bounced:
so looking at that it seems like they aren't giving me any space so causing all of my emails to bounce because i don't have any space to accept a email. goodness what i going on.

Oh, I thought the problem was resolved already. The screenshot showing an empty webmail mailbox changes things though. I think what they mean by that is you have a total of 20GB and of that 0kb is available, AKA inbox is full. Check your trash folder? Also you can try signing into "enhanced webmail" by choosing the button for it under your user/password prompt into webmail. I think this reads the email server differently, so maybe thats where the hidden emails are?
