pimann, I have the same problem. This appears to be an old problem. I've found older posts on this subject wit5h no solution. I'm guessing that there is a upper limit on how many channels can be skipped. I haven't been able to get more than 512 skip channels. It would be good if we could nail down an upper limit. In my opinion, if the upper bound is less that the total number of channels, then it wasn't designed properly.
I'm not sure if this is related but on the channels that have duplicate numbers like ESPN (1025/1300) you have to have both channel numbers unchecked to be able to see them on your guide. Having one checked and one not will not work. This is the opposite problem you are having but it might be related. You might want to see if the channels that you are having trouble with don't have duplicate numbers.
There was a known issue with skipped channels that was fixed with an update a while back. Are you not able to select the channel to skip or are you marking it and then coming back to see that it is unmarked?
StephanieA, I have now been able to get all my skipped channels entered and retained. That's 586 skipped channels and 56 favorite channels. I just kept adding them. Some would survive going in-and-out of Setup, or User changes, but there were always a few that would be drop out of the skippedchannel list. By just shear stubbornness I finally cycled in and of Setup enough to get all my ship channels entered. I'm left with just one issue. I can't seem to keep channel 1, On Demand, from staying OUT of my shipped channel list. I'd like to have On Demand be part of my channel lineup, but now that I have successfully got all my skipped channels entered and retained, they throw in channel 1 for free and I can't permanently keep it out of the skipped channel list. I assume that this has something to do with the complexities associated with the On Demand channel.
StephanieA, I do not have any channels above 1950 included in my skip channel list. I wouldn't even know how to add them, because the skip channel list starts out with an un-checked channel list that, at least in my case, also doesn't go above 1950. Does this help? I even tried to add a Favorite Channel in the OnDemand range, but again, my favorite channel list starts out with an un-checked channel list that stops at 1950. I'm still clueless.
StephanieA, yes. I have 3 Contour receivers and they all share 2 users and I can't get On Demand (Channel 1) to stay programmed in my user's channel lineup. The system overwrites both my Favorite Channel check and my Skipped Channel uncheck settings for Channel 1 after traversing through another User and back.
I apologize for the delayed response. I'm not able to recreate the problem in the office. I suggest deleting all the profiles and seeing if you can set them up again. Do you use the Contour App on an Ipad or tablet? Are you setting up the profiles on the same receiver?
