At one point, my Motorola SB6121 cable modem had levels at +2dBmV or higher. A service tech came out and put a pad inline dropping levels to 0dBmV on all channels. Now it has dropped -2 to -3dB per channel. I haven't noticed any changes in working, but should I make a service call to have the pad removed?

Can you give the model number of the pad/attenuator?
In general, I would wait. The newest change may be temporary, something related to weather or work in the area. Also, like they say, if it is not broken....

Don't know the model, etc., of the pad. It was done almost one year ago. Once it was added, everything was stable for quite a while. We've had some underground stuff going on in the neighborhood and, since I'm paying for 100Mb speeds, I'd prefer to know when changes are going on in the neighborhood that may effect my service... but thanks for asking.
