setting up new TV on existing Cable Box

I have a new TV that I am setting up on an existing cable box, are there directions for that?  I cannot get it to work

Hi Chloey, are you using an HDMI cable to connect the cable box to the TV set? If yes, remember to set the input to the HDMI port on the back of the TV: http://bit.ly/1R1CFZr  I hope this helps.
